Project Scope: NWI Systems developed a weighbridge automation solution for Argus Recycling, incorporating self-serve EFTPOS and streamlined data entry to automate their Trade Approved public weighbridge operations.
Overview
NWI Systems have developed a weighbridge automation solution for Argus Recycling, a waste management company. Argus Recycling had an existing manned weighbridge that was Trade Approved and registered as a public weighbridge. They sought to automate the weighing process to eliminate the need for a staff member at the weighbridge hut. Additionally, they wanted to streamline data entry for waste entering the site for processing. As a public weighbridge, they also required a self-serve EFTPOS terminal.
Solution
To address Argus Recycling’s requirements, NWI Systems provided a comprehensive solution that included the following components:
Touch screen self-serve driver terminal with built-in printer:
NWI Systems supplied a user-friendly touch screen terminal, allowing drivers to input their information and print necessary documentation such as weighbridge tickets. This self-serve terminal streamlined the weighing process, eliminating the need for staff assistance.
Remote display, site entry remote Zero, and truck positioning sensors: NWI Systems implemented a remote display system that enables drivers to view their weighing information from the comfort of their vehicles. Additionally, site entry remote Zero and truck positioning sensors were installed to ensure precise and accurate measurements during the weighing process.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera:
To further enhance efficiency and accuracy, NWI Systems integrated an ANPR camera system. This technology automatically captures and reads vehicle number plates, eliminating the need for manual data entry and reducing the chances of errors.
EFTPOS terminal for public weighbridge payments: As a registered public weighbridge, Argus Recycling required a self-serve EFTPOS terminal to facilitate payment transactions. NWI Systems provided a secure and efficient EFTPOS terminal, ensuring smooth and reliable payment processing for their customers.
Software Solution
In addition to the hardware components, NWI Systems provided their WinWeigh Analytics Portal. This cloud-based software solution grants Argus Recycling access to comprehensive data and analytics related to their weighbridge operations. The NWI FlexPoint Analytics Portal offers real-time insights, allowing Argus Recycling to monitor and analyse data, track trends, and optimize their waste management processes.
