Project Scope: NWI Group installed a 36m solar-powered, NMI-verified Centurion weighbridge at a remote cattle farm near Perth, capable of handling loads up to 120 tonnes.
Overview
NWI Group successfully installed a weighbridge at a remote cattle farm located east of Perth, Western Australia. The newly installed Centurion weighbridge, measuring 36m in length, is constructed entirely of steel, capable of accommodating loads of up to 120 tonnes, and is verified by the National Measurement Institute (NMI). A notable feature of this installation is the weighbridge’s complete reliance on solar power.
Challenges
Remote Location: The farm’s isolated location posed logistical challenges, making it imperative to plan and execute the installation meticulously. Ensuring timely delivery of equipment, personnel, and ongoing support required careful coordination.
Power Supply: Given the remote nature of the site, ensuring a reliable and sustainable power source for the weighbridge presented a challenge. Overcoming potential power supply limitations while maintaining uninterrupted operations was crucial.
